I have downloaded the program just fine, and configured it as the tutorials said. I tried running a ps2 DVD copy of Lego Star Wars I had laying around but as soon as I click on boot the program simply stops working.

does it work fine on your PS2 ?

Use the DX11 hardware renderer in GSdx.
