pcsx2 won't start (missing dll file)

i have downloaded pcsx2, but it won't start at all, says it's missing "api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll". but i have already installed vissual c++, the 32-bit version, a bunch of times and it still won't work.

anyone can help me with this?

Do you have such file in C:\Windows\System32\
Did you tried running pcsx2 as administrator
Did you tried restarting your pc(I doubt it's necessary)

If nothing works,try using the portable version(don't place it in C:\Program Files)

tried running as admin, still won't work.
i also did not find the file in system32. maybe that's the problem?

install the AIO for VC it will install all the VC once would need in my sig, current Git builds should not need DX redist to be install, but you could always do that.


Dont go downloadin random .dll and manual putting thein folders either

Yes that's the problem.
Try downloading it again(x86)and run the installer as administrator

The VS2015 redistributables don't work properly on windows 7 unless you have a specific update installed.

Check your windows is completely up to date in windows updates (get everything you can from recommended and optional), make sure you have KB2999226 (im sure you can get it elsewhere if you can't find it or get it by windows updates), then uninstall the 2015 redistributables and reinstall them, you should only need the x86 versions.
