hyper threading is a technology, that treats a single physical core as two logical ones, intel claims that the possible performance gain is something like 15-30% compared to without hyper threading. but it won't be nowhere near the performance gain of a proper dual core vs. a single core.

directx 10 is vista/win7 exclusive, that's why i said you don't have dx10 support on your system, even without knowing your exact gpu model.

and overclocking is usually not a good idea on mobile computers, as they often lack the necessary cooling capacity.
