problems with gsdx and sse3 and 4

You must be selecting an older version/revision of the GSdx plugin then, newer ones don't have that option because you don't need to manually choose one anymore. Still has nothing to do with the SSE instructions in your CPU.

i have a geforce 9800 gt, the internet says it does support pixel shader 3

i'm using windows 7 32 bit ultimate, latest direct x version


i've attached screenshots of:

3623 sse2 plugin and

890 sse3 plugin

So yes you're comparing an old version of the plugin to a new one. The new ones come without that option cause it isn't needed anymore and it also comes with SSE2/SSSE3/SSE4 choices...

And you're using sse2 dx10/11 as I expected, there's simply no option of choosing shader there as it automatically use the highest available for DX10 (CMIIW).

DX9 doesn't have the option either, it just isn't needed anymore unless you mean in the old plugins that is Tongue

Use the latest August Plugin pack along w/ PCSX2 0.9.7 beta, use SSE2 DX10. Make sure you have the DirectX Redistributable June 2010 installed.
CPU: i7 930 @ 2.8GHz(Everyday)/3.6GHz(Gaming)/4.0GHz(Encoding)
GPU: Geforce GTX 480 @ 850MHz/1001MHz

i only used the old plugin for the screenshot, so i could show you that the pixel shader option is available there Smile because i can't even configure the newest plugin now

i'm using sse2dx 10 now
