processor issues

Well you'd have to check temperatures yourself and see if it's good enough but it usually isn't anything bad unless you're in a laptop. A faster CPU would of course help for performance of the emulator, take in count the recommended CPU for PCSX2 is a C2D 3.2GHz.

so for this is it better an intel of 3.2ghz or an amd

?
A 2.5GHZ C2D will outperform a 3GHZ Athlon X2.
AMD Phenom II 940 @ 3.6GHZ, 4GB PC8500 @ 1100MHZ, 4870x2 @ Stock.

Depends, Intel C2D and AMD Phenom II are about the same at same clocks, but others like the Athlon X2, Phenom I, Pentium D, Celeron are much weaker.

you are on an AMD machine with an AMD chipset. If you try to put an intel in there, you gonna fry it. Also when buying a new proc, make sure that your slot and chipset are compatible with it, you can't just throw any old proc in there. (I had to do so looking around when i swapped out my laptops proc for a new one, so i learned a bit before shopping).

As for the heat issue, it isn't always true that getting a faster proc gives off more heat. My old T5450 in here used to idle at 40c and 70-80c full load. the t7300(400mhz faster) idles at 15-20c and 40-50c on load. It really all just depends on the chip, the thermal fluid, and how well you take care of your machine.
