ps3 controller crashing

so when I am playing Dragon ball budokai tenkaichi 3, i can play for around 5-10 minutes before the controller just stops working in-game. and i dont know what is going on, my motion joy works perfectly and whenever i do the tests on it it works, but the PCSX2 1.2.1 just stops picking up the controller and it will not work. PLEASE HELP

Don't use Motioninjoy, it's spyware riddled crap.
