Core i7 4,8 GHz <-- you mean you will overclock it at 4,8 Ghz? Because that won't be easy and you might not be able to pull it off. But if you can do that yes it will run everything at full speed.

overclocking to 4.8 is catastrophic it can blown the engine and voids the warranty.

Hi there, I'm new to this forum and PCSX2 stuff

My laptop specs are:
Intel Core i5 2410, 2.3GHz
RAM DDR3 8gb
VGA Card GeForce GT540M 1gb RAM (overclocked to GT550M's spec without any problems)

Running games such as Arkham City, Modern Warfare 3 without problems.

Recently tried PCSX2 and so far I already tried Tales of Abyss which worked well (steady 58-59 fps). But when I tried Super Robot Wars Alpha 2, the game stutters in map view. And then I tried Zone of the Enders, the game also stutters in battles.

I've already tried the native resolution, speedhacks (EE lvl 1-2, VU cycle 1-2-3, checked the INTC Spin, Wait Loop) but didn't give me a nice result. The FPS hangs around 45-48 at the described situation.

Please can anyone give me a nice advice / setting? Thanks a lot.

but i wonder, why do people insist on telling us on the PCSX2 forums "im gunna buy an 800 dollar laptop, will that work!?"

and the answer is ALWAYS no.

1. Not worth the $$
2. Not strong enough.
3. coders use Nvidia graphics cards and Intel processors, which is why those work better.
so finally, if its not at least 3.0ghz then you will be mostly OK. Although getting to 4ghz is the sweet spot.
just avoid spending more than $250 on the CPU.
PCSX2 is CPU 100% intensive and about 1/4 GPU intensive. Now that we have mtVU id suggest getting 3 core.
but since you do more than just PCSX2 just get more than dual core, same thing.
My specs (in Signature below) are mid range for PCSX2, it isnt the best, but it does work pretty well.

• Your CPU clockspeed.
  
• The version of PCSX2 you are using.
  
• Any non default settings you are using.
  
• What games you are trying to play and if you are playing them from ISO or DVD.

these are my laptop full spec.
i m using psx2.0.9.8
tried sum changes in settin like increase cycle rate, ps2 native resolution selected,used SSE2 SSE3 SSE4.1 gdx plugin. still my game runs at 29-33 fps
i tried games like Dragon Ballz Budokia 3, Smackdown Vs Raw 2009 God Of War MGS Snake Eater all these games runs at 29-33 fps.
all downloaded iso games.

if you could help me with complete psx2 config with my laptop spec i wud be reall greatful 2 you.

i really wana play these games as u know my mentioned games are not avalaible for pc
