psx2 runing slow

i downloaded smackdown vs raw 2008 and when i do anything more than a one on one match it slows down so much its almost unplayable

it does this with most of the other games i have tried playing on it


i have a very good computer it can play any of the modern games(skyrim, mw3) on the highest settings

is it something with psx2 or the games them self's
