purple fog issue Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria
#1
Hey Guys,

checked on wiki and it is said that the purple fog has already been fixed in 1.5 on opengl, but when i try to use the 1.7 to run the vp2 with both opengl and d3d9 rendering. But there is still purple fog as the attachment shows. my settings are also in the attachment.

do anyone have successful experience to make the pic display properly?

Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria - PCSX2 Wiki

Bad rendering in certain areas
  • Status: Fixed
  • Type: Serious
  • Description: In some areas of the game (in particular the Forest area at the start of the game), there will be a purple effect all over the screen when the Renderer is set to any of the Hardware modes. You can still advance, but it will be very difficult to move around without being able to see where you are exactly.
  • Workaround: This has been resolved in recent v1.5.0 git builds. Use OpenGL renderer and keep Blending Accuracy to at least Basic level. CRC hack level should be left on Automatic.

You are using direct3D 11, change that to OpenGL.

you ***** up your pcsx2 install.

D3D9 doesn't exist in 1.7 version

reinstall pcsx2 latest version (stable or dev) from scratch
