what did I do wrong in the converting of the codes?
use
patch=1,EE,20660508,word,FFFFFFFF
patch=1,EE,2066050C,word,FFFFFFFF
for all char unlocked
just seems that you didnt decrypt it, or if you did, you didnt have common v7 encryption used.

so a different version.. take it the same codes won't work? Any way to convert them?

Yeh it's a PAL English.. for some reason unknown to me some UK games have SCES and some are the normal SLES... don't know why *shrugs*
What about game saves? Are they specific to the game region/version?
Damn... miss the days of the PSX... I ahd an Xplorer cheat cart plugged in and that was hooked up to my PC.. getting codes was SOOOOO easy! PS2 ruined that... couldn't hack your own the same way... drat.. now I gotta rely on other sources... not fair That was one of the main reasons I became a PC gamer instead of playing console games. PC games can be modded too! But I am feelin a bit nostalgic recently.. so been playing SNES, Amiga, C64, PSX, and a few PS2 games... all working fine except a few PS2 games..

Damn. I finally got pcsx2 not to crash when loading the pnach files (I needed to convert the RAW codes using the V7 encryption), I load up Final Fantasy XII, go to load my game, and it tells me that the save file is corrupted. Now, if I turn off the patch, I can go back and load the saved file fine. I'm guessing the game is doing this as an anti-cheating mechanism maybe? I don't know.
Anyway, does anyone know how to get around this? Or do I have to start from the beginning of the game if I want to use these patches?
EDIT: Never mind, I figured out the problem. FFXII needs the Master Code. As soon as I put that in, the game file no longer loaded up as corrupted.

yeah, its one of the codes in the master code, called the check-sum bypass. the only time you need to use master codes is if it says that, but remember, dont use ones that have a 9 or f at the begining.
and chris, you can find codes for ffx but you just need to find the pal codes, do a google search for ffx armax or something and if its anything besides codebreaker, i suggest using omniconvert. its free, all you have to do is sign up for a forum and when you check your email and register, your all good to dl it, have it posted towards the begining of the topic.

@ChrisR1982Edin
Try the codes in the text file that I attached.
First try without conversion i.e., directly put them in the pnach file.
If that does not work then use cbcrypt.
If they don't work I will try cbcrypt.. and if not then I will scout around for some more codes.. or I could have a go with Artmoney or CheatEngine to try adn grab my own codes.. Thanx again

Could somebody please help me??? I am having problems running a pnach for Final Fantasy X.
The emulator crashes whenever I try to load this pnach.
My pnach files looks like this:
gametitle=Final Fantasy X [SCES 50490] (E) [FB479A8B]
comment=code for character
//Unlimited Gil
patch=1,EE,0867153A,word,63187503
// Tidus All Tech-spezial-magie
patch=1,EE,3275DC6E,word,E1175F9D
patch=1,EE,7369912F,word,CBE0CA65
patch=1,EE,A16BFB58,word,004C8800
patch=1,EE,0F5CB036,word,FD7A4128
I also tried using the unconverted codes and the emulator still crashed.
I converted the codes using CBcrypt with the common v7 encryption.
The original codes are:
Unlimited Gil
1031D218 0000FFFF
All Tech-spezial-magie
1031EADA 0000FFFF
2031EADC FFFFFFFF
2031EAE0 FFFFFFFF
1031EAE4 0000FFFF
