I want to know if the dragon quest VIII work well and what would be the ideal setting.

Also I have a doubt, I do not understand why I can not run the games with directx10 If I have win7 with DirectX11.

first if you GPU ( graphic card ) support DX11 then there is no need for DX 10 since they are the same ( in PCSX2 only ofcourse )

but if it support DX 10 and you cant run D3D10 render in GSDX then that's another matter ....

You can use DirectX 11 when both your operating system and GPU support it. Windows 7 supports DirectX 11, but if your GPU only supports DirectX 10, then you stuck with DirectX 10.

In PCSX2, DirectX 11 is DirectX 10 renamed. Which name is show depends on which version of DirectX your computer supports. They are the same thing.

When I start a game with d3d10 this error:

Shutting down plugins...
(pxActionEvent) GS plugin failed to open!(thread:MTGS)(thread:EE Core)
Plugins shutdown successfully.
User-canceled plugin configuration after plugin initialization failure. Plugins unloaded.

whats your Graphics Card? Does it supports DirectX 10. If no, then buy a new Graphics Card or play with directX9 if that is supported. Tongue2

Anyways, download the Latest directX June 2010 Redistributable

To run a DirectX 11 Level Game, Requirements (as said above)
1) DirectX Version Installed on your PC.
2) A Graphics Card that Supports DirectX 11 Level Rendering.

A graphics Card must be able to render a DX11 Graphics at good speed so that you can say that a graphics card is DX11 Compatible.

OK. Your GPU Supports DirectX 11.

Have you updated DirectX from the above link? If no, then please do it before running any game.
Try with the Latest SVN. PCSX2 SVN
Try with the SSSE3 GSDX since your PC Supports that. Make sure that you have DirectX 11 (Hardware) Selected.

Well, can you run pcsx2 with DirectX 9 (Hardware)?
