I got it to work. I had to use a DVD9 to DVD5 Rip Kit made for rogue galaxy, they said that it only deletes the staff credits.

It kinda seems like a pcsx2 problem to me

I got same problem, same place, black screen that never ends. I'm using the physical DVD with CDVD gigaherz r3429 0.8.0 on PCSX2 0.9.7.3876m.

Make an ISO of your game with ImgBurn and try running it from there.

Thx, making the image worked, I got past my crash point and I can't use my DVD anymore since the 2nd layer won't be read whatsoever.... Weird since I can watch 2-layered DVD films with it and not games. Ohmy
