I have almost the same list of Gran Turismo games. It's been working well for me, though when accessing hidden content on the OPS2M Demo 5 disc, the game would freeze up on me. I use the 1.4.0 stable version on all of this. On the Japanese Prius Trial demo, the emulator would crash as well. For this particular demo, I did try the latest dev build. To access hidden content, I alternate between ArtMoney Pro and Cheat Engine. By any chance, are you trying to access the hidden contents as well, RSoDtheVirus?

1.4.0 does not have GameDB entries needed to automatically adjust clamping modes as these games need. For normal gameplay, EE clamping needs to be on Full, and VU clamping needs to be on Extra + Preserve Sign. Most versions of the game on the latest development builds should have these automatically apply, but if you're still getting the issue with text persisting on screen, icons being clipped, or ghost replays forgetting how to drive, you can always set these manually.

Note that driving tests are an exception, and you need the clamping modes on their defaults or these will completely crash out the game.

On Gran Turismo 4 final release, the text will glitch out in a race. Adjusting the clamping mode helps, but if you change the wrong one, then the game's garage would complain that your save is corrupted. I left the clamping mode changed in a license test and it crashed in certain tests, but not others for me.

oh man GT4 PAL release on PCSX2 is better in mine opinion. it runs 48fps out 50fps to me (a crappy pc overall)

PAL games does have lower framerates than NTSC, but it's not that smooth graphically. I have all three Gran Turismo Concept games and the 2001 Tokyo and 2002 Tokyo-Seoul is much smoother than 2002 Tokyo-Geneva. Same goes to the Japanese version of Gran Turismo 4 Prologue as opposed to the European version. My PC is actually a lower spec compare to your's.
