stuck on ps3 resolution
#1
i seem to be stuck on the default 640x448 resolutionfor all games regardless
of what custom resolution i set. ie 1280x 1024 , 1600x900 etc...

using the GSdx grpahics render in direct x 10 mode, dx9 crashes my systemSad
tried all GSdx modes (ssse3, ssse2, ssse4)

not using any speed/cpu hacks

System
i7920
6gb ram
8800gt vga card
windows 7 64-bit
direct x version 11

use to work on my amd 4400x2 2GB ddr ram same OS same vga card
can't seem to figure it outSad

any help or suggestions (apart from going back to my old compSmile) would cool

thanks

Are you chaning the d3d res on the window res? Also until the latest revision the window res didn't change in DX 10 unless you did it manually. Or alt-tabbed for full screen.

yeah regardless what rez i set for the window mode i still get the same rez of 640x448. if i alt-tab to full screen mode, its still the same 640x448 modeSad
and it crashes as i try to exit the game

still cant guess the reason......

thanks for the response though

Are you going by the number in the top left corner?

That number is the games native resolution, it will never change. If you are setting the internal resolution to something different in the GSDX options, it WILL change, you can be sure of that. To test, set something dramatically larger, like 1280x1280, notice how sharp the image is, then retest with the native box checked. You will see that the image is MUCH more pixelated.

An easy mistake to make if you are unfamiliar with some of the concepts, no worries!
