tales of the abyss widescreen

weather or not if the widescreen have is in the document cheats ws if i just enable widescreen cheats it crashes
i tried mutiple 14FE77F7.pnach and 045D77E9.pnach

it says sony interactive entertainment then it goes black and pcsx2 crashes

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

Does it work of you disable patches ?
Did you somehow patch your iso (using an undub patch for instance)

game works if i disable patches but it is not widescreen it just stretches.
i don't don't think so. i own it the ps2 dvd i'll just try ripping it again

Very odd indeed that it's doing that upon loading WS patches.

Does it only happen to Tales of the Abyss, or is it happening to other games of yours as well? I just tested the patches and they still work fine here.

so on other games it looks for the widescreen patch and it works but tales of the abyss crashes. on metal of honor it said it worked i loaded the patch if widescreen patches were enabled
i try completely uninstalling pcsx2 and rip tales again

okay it was my bios i used a Japanese one and now it works fine

glad you had another PS2 to do so.
didn't know a widescreeen patch would need a specifical bios, though...
