tweaking mlb 09 the show

Hi, I've searched all the forum if this has been asked before, but had no luck.

I was playing this in my PS2, but it stopped working last month, and right now I don't have any cash to spare in a new ps2
I'm trying to play mlb 09 the show, but had no luck. It looks really bad, and slow at all time. I'm tryng to play in a notebook

Core 2 duo T8100 2.1 GHz
3GB DDR2 RAM 667 MHz
Geforce 8600M GT 512MB

Can you guys help me out by giving me a good config, so I can play it decently?

Not likely you will ever play it at a great speed, but enable all speed hacks and you might gain some speed at least.
