using v1.x folder memcard in v2.x

Hi!  I'm trying to use a folder memcard I created in Batocera Linux v39 (PCSX2 v1.7.5531) in PCSX2 v2.0.2 (Retrobat, Windows 10) and all the games request to format the memcard on boot.   I read a few other threads saying the memcard is corrupt but if I go back to v1.x, it loads all my saves just fine so this is not the reason.

Has something changed in the format used in folder memcards from v1.x to v2.x by chance?

If so, has someone written a utility to convert to the new v2.x format?

Have no problems committing to v2.x - the new optimizations are really stellar (esp on a MacBookPro!) so props up to the dev team!

Thanks for any nudges to get my saves loaded into v2!

I know the savestates are not compatible... but memcards should be as far as i am aware.

After you copy memcards folder, do they show up in config menu properly? Do the saves show up in bios view?
