very low fps on grand turismo 4

I am having really bad fps on Grand Turismo 4

Here are my computer specs:

Cpu: intel core 2 quad Q8300 2.5
Ram: 8 gigs of DDR 3 dual channel
OS: Windows 7 64 bit
Video Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 550 TI GDDR5 1 gig

I am using PSX2 1.0.0 with bios: usa v01.60(07/02/2002)
i dont know anything about the config settings im really new to this.

Please help i would really like to play without fps lag, i know my pc can handle it

You can use the search feature to find the GT4 thread which has lots of tips to get it working full speed, that said... your CPU is on the low side for PCSX2 in general, and especially for a game like GT4 which is known to push PCs extra hard.

There won't be much you can do short of overclocking your CPU, but using the MTVU speedhack will help.
