You're now saying you've just tested it on a Phenom (Original revision) with 4GB DDR3 RAM.. That's ironic.. THE AM2 PLATFORM NEVER SUPPORTED DDR3

Intel's higher up socket 775's had DDR3, but the only DDR3 support on AMD I'm aware of is AM3.

Earlier he had an E5200, which is a VERY nice cheap dual core with a wolfdale chip, it's basically a core 2, but it's not? Yeah, confusing lol. And on AMD, AM2 can't be used on AM3... So you can't get a normal Phenom with DDR3. You can get an AM3 CPU on an AM3 board with DDR3.

Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200 OC to 3.6GHz, Intel GMA x4500, 1GB DDR2 Might just work on next guide

Phenom's and Phenom II's are a series, not just quad's.
There's x3'ss like the lower end Phenom I one's. There's also some x3's like the Phenom II 720 (Which is an amazing CPU) They also made a Phenom I dual core, the X7750 kuma, it was a quad core with two disabled core's.

PhenomI series and PhenomII X4 940 and 920 are only support socket AM2+ And ddr2. PhenomII Else two above can support socket AM2+ and AM3 and ddr2, ddr3 ram. Until now i didnt see for mobo with mixed ram ddr2 and ddr3 for socket AM3 Or maybe i missed it because that i asked him. G
