Trying to run final fantasy x.
I have tried changing settings to no avail.
Both final fantasy x2 and 12 work with no problems.
I have even tried Pcsx2 0.9.1 - it just freezes and windows asks to close or wait for a response.

When does it happen, just launching the game? Are you trying to run the game from disc or iso? what is your settings?

Found a solution, I tried a friends copy of the game and it seems to work on the beta version r1888. Currently many various settings are working, including dx11 if it does do anything. Smile

If anyone else is wondering, it happens while trying to load the game just after the output window is opened. I tried various combinations of settings from cpu, graphics, advanced. I had the game made into several isos with different programs, incase of error. Searched for older versions of pluggins for video, cd rom, audio, etc. Tried to make a manual patch for the game with the same information as the one included, figured it was setup to solve the problem. Even have several versions including the beta, current, older ones, nothing worked. I remember having this disc work previously to my new computer so I figured it wasn't the disc, but regardless changing discs seems to have worked. Although I'm not sure what the error was, if it could have been related to the disc or not, but seems to be working so thanks for the trouble!

Running windows 7 ult., gigabyte ex58-ud3r, core i7 920, 6 gigs of ram, ssd and hdd, and a radeon 5850, incase anyones interested.

Those errors tend to happen with bad ISO rips. Usually if you re-rip you'll be fine, unless your disk was damaged, which could explain why your friend's copy worked just fine.
