whats the easiest way to use cheats aside from patches?

If you know how to use the PCSX2 patch finder,it's the same way on ArtMoney(except if you don't configure the pcsx2 start address the search will be long)

I do all of my cheats using artmoney and after that convert them to patches.

Why do people use artmoney, why not use action replay on the emulator?

Because:
1.You can create cheats with it and make them work in a way that neither pcsx2 not CodeBreaker nor Action Replay can.
2.You can change the values of the cheats at any time with hot keys...also not possible on pcsx2,cb,ar.

Action Replay codes can be adapted for use as a patch, no product required.

Artmoney is amazing if you can't find a code for the effect you want. ~10 minutes of sifting nets you the variable you're looking for (health, magic, money, etc) and you can change it at will. Lock it at a value and you have unlimited whatever you'd like.
