When you'll learn x86_64 assembler and return support for it into pcsx2.

Ehm, isn't the actual Linux x64 compatibility problem with libraries pcsx2 is compiled against that don't function correctly in x64? I think I remember greg or someone making a post about that in the dev section.

First what is your distribution ?

Just to be clear. You can run the x86 32bits pcsx2 version on amd 64 bits linux. It is running fine on my 64bits debian. However it is harder to install than the 32bits pcsx2 on a 32bits system.

Some distributions provide some 32bits library to allow user to run 32bits application. Unfortunately for us, these library are not the one pcsx2 use. It is the main reason why I did not provide yet a 64bits ppa for pcsx2.

You could still install the 32 bits library manually. The easiest solution is to create a chroot. An others solutions is to download the 32bits library and to put them in /usr/lib32 (depend on your distribution).

See http://code.google.com/p/pcsx2/wiki/Chro...tatusLinux for additional details (note for myself: I really need to make a link from the main compilation guide)

No they don't. I mean, expect FFX maybe to show 1-2 triangles before crashing. Not more Wink
