widescreen patch glitchs in silent hill 2

I seem to be getting weird glitch's in silent hill 2 that i believe stems from enabling wide screen patches.  

when im in tight corridors there seems to be flickering black box's/triangles on the edges of the screen.
also in small rooms the camera seems to be clipping through the walls.

the black edges that are flickering was hard to capture. but i got a picture of it as well as a picture of the camera clipping though a wall.

does anyone know of any fixes or any suggestions on how to fix it?

i7 6700k
windows 10 home

They're an unfortunate side effect which no one has been able to fix yet.
I would just suck it up if I were you. There should be less of it in the later levels, it's just the worst in the apartment buildings.

i had a feeling that was the case.  oh well.    i just wanted to make sure there wasn't some simple fix that i was missing out on.
