will my computer work well on pcsx2?

i downloaded the pcsx2 latest version and i was wondering if my new laptop can work properly with or without speedhacks.
my specs are:
windows 7 premium 64bit
2.4ghz
500GB hard drive
intel core i5
screen 14.something.
not sure what my graphic card is.

note:iam just asking because this a laptop i just bought snce my old laptop cannot open and function well with pcsx2 only with speedhacks which i think was the problem that my old laptop is destroyed.
