So I dumped my BIOS, and that went all fine, worked how it should and so on.
However, when i installed pcsx2, and it configured, on the config screen the BIOS box was blank. I decided to set the BIOS directory to C:/program files/pcsx2/bios... yet it still wasn't detecting it.
can anyone help?

Is your dumped BIOS file with a .p2b extension? If so, right click on it and extract it with 7zip or winrar. Then, PCSX2 will identify the files

Which dumping method did you use? Is it a single bin file?

yup, just a single .bin file, 512kb.
EDIT: i've used this file before, too, on my old computer. that was running XP (SP2) and it worked fine.

PS2 bios images are 4mb so you either got a PS1 bios, downloaded it off the net or misdumped it.
