so, PC recognizes the device and I've installed the drivers but the program doesn't recognize the device so I can't use it as an input, how do I fix this?

program as in PCSX2, I've looked around on the forum already and I haven't found anyone with this issue, nor have I found a fix, and I really wanna play FFXII and I can't find a solution..

I can't map the buttons since PCSX2 isn't recognizing the device at all.

*facepalm*

@Topic: Do you know if windows installed drivers automatically when connected the Pad ? if not, maybe you have to download drivers for it (unless its a plug&play device)

When I asked how did you setup LilyPad, I wasn't regurgitating what Blyss asked, I was wondering if you ticked XInput (Xbox 360 Controllers Only), because if not, PCSX2 will not detect the 360 controller, don't have DirectInput ticked either.

Directinput and Xinput both work, I can say from experience. But you need one or the other or both checked.

Ah, you are correct Blyss, but I personally wouldn't recommend using DirectInput if you use a 360 pad or an emulated one, since XInput is their native api, Microsoft also recommends XINput instead of DirectInput when available.

Pardon me, I forgot to upload the screenshot but here it is

Anyway, do I need a direct cable to the xbox 360 controller or can I just connect a charger to a wireless one and then connect that to the PC? because when I did that, it did not recognize the drivers at first, but after I did install the drivers the PC recognized the xbox 360 controller.

I don't really know what to do right now so advice would be pretty solid honestly.

This is how i have my Lilypad Setup.
Ive Assigned XBox360 Controller to Pad1 and Keyboard to Pad2.

Change your the setting to match the image below and try.

Oh and Click Refresh in the lilypad window a few times if the Controller isn't being detected.
