What I meant is the screenshots is up to you. I've got almost 100 games, so I probably won't add screenshots unless I run out of things to edit.

The template is the thing I was looking for, and I will probably make some minor adjustment though that will happen after the release of 0.9.7. I am expecting it to release in a month or 2 which is why I am holding on my editing, hopefully sooner.

edit: Lol, just checked, 0.9.7 is out already. This is going to be fun.
I've altered the template a bit it's now up to wikia to update the way the pages look (it takes it 2-3 or even more days to do it, I guess it's a matter of caching something). Remove the last traces of hacks if you like (modifying the mentioned template). To update a page manually you can just edit it and save without changes, that should do it. This wikimedia is a strange beast but at least it's working somehow (could always be worse Smile ).
Ahhh! Not ingame screenshots, you mean box arts or boxshots! Ok, you can count on me with that (I dont have that many games but it doesn't stop me from borrowing the pictures from wikipedia, right? Smile)

0.9.7 is really out! What a surprise (although I'm still waiting for a cheat finder, I'm a cheater, alright)! Gonna check it out now...
Same, without the cheat finder, it feels like there is something missing while I am playing a game even if I don't use the cheat.

Anyway, I will try to retest and fill out my games although I haven't played through all of them from start to the end yet using pcsx2, and I will also try to do some boxshots too.
The search function is broken at left vertical side panel in the Wiki page.

I searched Gran Turismo 4 but found nothing.

It sure has an article for GT4.

If you are referring to the search result, then you are... RIGHT! It really doesnt work at all. Sad Thanks! I'll pass this to the shoutwiki support guys.
But if you're talking about quick search feature (getting a list with results while you're typing in the searchbox) -- it does work in fact. In this case you're maybe using Google Chrome which is known to exhibit the erroneous behavior with this searchbox (or so I've heard). Thanks anyway!.
I was referring to search result, as I hadn't enabled Javascript in browser in order to see items listed from quick search feature.

And I've also noticed the row of CRCs in the table for each region(such as Region NTSC-U, Region PAL, Region NTSC-J) in game's wiki page. Where CRCs should be CRC, as only one CRC per game in its specific NTSC PAL region.

The CRC is shown in pcsx2 log window, e.g.
Quote:ELF (cdrom0:\SLPS_259.15;1) CRC=0x0A70CB4C, EntryPoint=0x00100008
There the CRC 0A70CB4C is to form the filename of cheat/patch file, 0A70CB4C.pnach for that game.

So A little guide how to contribute to this Wiki needs to be revised for CRC, you might wanna also add a description to CRC there, since no one added the CRC information even in the article of most famous Final Fantasy X.

In fact there may be more than one CRC per region (PAL games can be also PAL-G for instance), some games can be reissued with updates or even patched by the community (like UNDUB patches) thus making a new CRC for an old game.

Yeah, it's quite doable and I'll do it right away but you can also do it yourself as nicely. There are no protected pages on the wiki right now.
Hi everyone!
I'd like to give some quick explanation to those who maybe wondering why http://www.shoutwiki.com and http://pcsx2.shoutwiki.com in particular are as of now unreachable without any notice.
You can read about it here: http://blog.shoutwiki.com/. This blog blames the "malfunction in our host’s datacenter" (i.e. the random unnamed ISP) and assures that the full backup of information does exist (aside from a week of updates, which are lost). It also states that the restore process is underway and everything will be online at any given moment.
I find this somewhat doubtful and I'll try to explain why. There maybe four (if not more) explanations to the current shoutwiki situation. One of them is that the blog telling the truth and no worries are justifiable. The second is that the blog is lying and there's no backup in existence (it's the most probable state of affairs in my believe) (in this case Jack Phoenix (see blog) is/was misinformed about the gravity of the situation). The third is that the backup does exist but shoutwiki is not able/do not want to recover from this "malfunction" (considering it wasn't that popular), which is also very probable.
And the last reason I can think of is kind of conspiracy theory and is unlikely to be the truth but it still not that impossible. Some shoutwiki employee could be paid by some pissed off and overall dishonest company (that would be wikia.com) to set up the whole situation. Business is business after all; and the mentioned company is a business which it has shown more that once (you can understand what I'm talking about by searching for Anti Wikia Alliance or by reading the comments to this blog post http://community.wikia.com/wiki/User_blo...s_New_Look).
On the side note, being party a system admin myself I cannot believe someone can be so careless not to backup the data (I backup all my company's databases once in 2 hours and all users' documents/mail every night) or to backup it idly once a week. It must be very unpleasantly shameful for them to lose credibility this way.
If the matter will not be resolved in a positive way, the wiki is unlikely to recover (losing some months of the new contents and updates is a tragedy but to have no other place to be hosted on is a full stop). I know that there are many (?) wikifarms out there but I'm not willing to endure yet another painful transition to the old contents (but I'll help anyone who may want to do it and will definitely contribute to the result).

This is the sum of information with my thoughts on the matter. I'll keep you informed on how this situation will unfold.
Finishing the story:
After a long-long downtime (almost 50 days) to my sincere surprise Shoutwiki was able to recover from its crash and now everything seems to be in order. I guess I'm a bit pessimistic person but I'm still angry at them for that fifty days downtime period. It's now certain that they aren't the professional successful company but at least they've come back.
I'll try to push the idea of on-demand backups (if someone may demand anything from the free service) so if that crash will happen again I'd have at least full wiki contents to restore it anywhere else on the web. Until then I welcome you back on board and wish you a good flight!
