Have you tried the latest beta (r1888) and GSdx 1479?

Yeah, those will almost certainly give better results. For me, at least, the overbright issue was very much reduced somewhere in the later GSDX revisions.

If you turn off the speedhacks your general pc speed starts to limit this game.
Unless you got a i7 975 overclocked or smth, that's to be expected :/

About the ini changes. I hope you tried other values as well? Like +8, or -16, you know
