Because by replaying to an old thread, particularly one that's completely unrelated to your issue, you're basically attaching pages of random crap to your support request. If I want help with my dishwasher, I don't start by prefixing it with 20 pages of junk about someone else's nose ring issues from 10 years ago and title the request "Nose Ring failure".
