Trying to play ICO with the emulator and getting really low fps and staggers in the ps start up screen and ingame.

Have Intel core duo e6600 and geforce 8800 gts.

The problem appereantly is that if i turn on the direct3d9 (hardware) option the game should run better, but if i do that the program just shuts down.

If i set it on sowtware the game works but with really low fps.

With zerogs 0.97.1 i get weird graphical errors and the game crashes after few min.

So what to do now? (and sorry for my not so good english)
The first thing you should try is using the latest beta
http://forums.pcsx2.net/thread-3716.html

Do you get any errors in the console window when you use DX9, or does PCSX2 just crash?
Downloaded the latest beta and still same problems.

Is the last thing it says when it crashes. Nothing odd there i guess?
Now that i got zerogs 0.97.1 work a little better it still seems to crash always one same spot, i guess the ISO file might be bad?
Highly posible. try with gigahertz CD/DVD plugin & your original DVD to see if it works.
