I have a quick question........i am trying to run this Emulator but i keep getting this error.......

PCSX2.EXE has encountered a problem and must close.

im new to this p[articular emulator, my specs are....

AMD Athlon xp 3200+
2gb DDR Memory
Geforce 6200 AGP 512 Megabytes of DDR2
(supports Pixel Shaders 3.0)
Windows XP Media Center Edition. SP 3

I can run all types of other emulators but i have problems with this one.
Is there ANY way i can run this emulator on this computer, without having to upgrade?

Thanks
Update latest directx and install program else, see first gsdx plugin thread hope can solve that problem.
Unfortunatelly your PC doesnt have the required features to run PCSX2 (SSE2 in the CPU) so even if you got it working you wouldnt be able to play anything good enough (it probably wont even start anyway), sorry but upgrade is the only way unless you want to try a very old version of the emulator running at very slow speed in which case we cant help you here.
Wow, the GeForce 6200 really supports pixel shader 3?
Yeh, very slow at it but yeah it does Tongue

yes it is support ps 3.0 but it's up to DX9 only
but still indeed weak as a AGP interface.
Thanks for your help, is there any particular motherboard and processor that i should look at getting? If its kool with you guys, im asking for a processor for minimum requirements AND one with Recomended requirements. Also, a proper motherboard that will hold these processors...........maybe something that wouldnt cost too much and still be able to run this emulator properly.

Thanks alot.
Since you'll need a completely new pc anyway, here's one on newegg.com.
In this form it'll be fast enough for many games.
If you overclock the cpu (3.4Ghz or so would be good), then it'll run most games at full speed.

Note that this is just a hint at what you'll want to get.
well, im not looking to by a whole new computer..... i have enough hardware, cases, etc. to build one here in my room. i was just wondering what would be a good motherboard, processor combo (at a cheap price) for this Emulator.
Here is what im looking at....
