I having trouble configuring PCSX2 on my system. Which plugins and configurations would give me the best results?

I'm running PCSX2 0.9.6 with Windows Vista on a Compaq Presario f500 with an AMD Turion 64 X2 1800 Mhz Dual Core processor, NVIDIA GeForce Go 6100 graphics card, and 2 GB of RAM.
