lol like my ps2 then. Does "ps2 added modchip" can play DVD video or does the NIC has anything to do with it ?

You can play DVD Video of the console region without modchip(even if the DVD Video is not the original disk).
BTW if you have a way to run homebrew programs you can even play divx,mp3 and so on
Huh ? We can play MP3 at ps2 ? How's the trick ? Man i'm interested

I don't think it's worth explaining if you don't have a way to run homebrews/backups.
Do you have a way?
Nope, i don't have a way for that.
But wait a minute, run homebrews mean run burned disc in any region right ? (wheter it's ps2 game or ps1 game is the same right)

Not always, you can run homebrews from any storage device connected to the PS2(usb flash drive, memory card, hdd and over network)after having modchip or softmod.

Having a modchip allows you to play backup PS1/2 games of any region

So in other words, we can play our homebrews via flashdrive ?
But what type of file system should the usb flashdrive must have before it can be used to run homebrew games?
is it NTFS or FAT? or maybe FAT32 ?

You can't run them from flash drive or any other device if you don't have modchip or softmod
The file system is FAT32(FAT works too but FAT32 is better).

To say it simple, you know that you can play any region PS2 game on pcsx2 right...well with modchip/softmod you can do the same on your PS2(but with softmod you can ONLY play PS2 DVD games of any region)

Isn't bypassing protection a form of piracy ?
sorry , im not trying to be a smart ass or anything , i just thought it was Tongue
Ok i get it. But this maybe a little offtopic
What is the difference between FAT and FAT32? Cause if we look from the point of technology, i think FAT works better than FAT32. Don't u agree ? If not, give some explanation please? Smile
