I am using windows 7 Ultimate and my card is an NVIDIA GeForce GT 230.

I tried all sorts of different configuration settings and same thing.

I checked my DX version and it says it's version 11.
Well, did you update
because you should
it's your video card it can use only DX9 and DX10.
if you want DX11 get the ATI Radeon 5xxx

Nvidia cards does'nt have DX11 yet
Nvidia GT 3xx(it shall release by March 2010)
So in order to run the emulator I need to either downgrade DX (not possible) or change the vid card??

your emulator is still runable no need to touch that DX nor the video card
just config your GSdx settings under the Renderer.
Man, we're telling people this over and over again.
Your major DX version is 11, but the libraries are outdated.
Just go to that link, download the installer, and run it.
tallbender: I had already tried putting Direct3D10 (Hardware). That didn't help me. I tried other settings as well.

Rama: What link are you talking about? I did download the newest zip file of the emu and that's what I'm using.

This one. Gsdx should be asking you to get this file. (Is it not?)
rama: yes it is.

But since I already have DX 11 what good will that do?
just install it
jeez it's not like it will downgrade your directx or anything
it updates your dx9 and dx10 files
