Hello there, I'm new here and I need your help.
The idea of playing my old ps2 games on pc seems great to me.
But there is a problem. I've unpacked pcsx2 rev 2660, put my bios in folder named bios, installed newest directx, made iso of few games and...yupp, that's right, clicked on pcsx2 exe file but, instead of great old-fashion hardcore console fun I've got something of that kind - "this program was installed incorrectly, you should reinstall it". Cool, I would do that but I only unpacked it from rar archive.
that is what you get for using not official builds,i reccommend you to try the latest stable beta from here. This should solve your problem, please note that newer betas are user compiled and such are unsupported in this forums (0.9.7 betas).Just as a side note,if you have windows 7 or vista, you have to run pcsx2 as an administrator.

Offtopic: Oh my its so hard to write diegochiha or diego chiha, but please do not say diego chila Tongue
Exactly it was something like "running this program has failed because of application configuration incorrect, reinstalling the program can fix it". Such error I got only under Windows XP 64, in 7 seems to work nice. Oh and it's rev 2661.

Oh, and it's not supported here, as diego Chila said.

Grab r1888 from official site, update your directx, & try again.

I've downloaded r1888 from this web site and it gives exactly the same error under xp64. Any ideas why?

It works now but this means that pcsx2 is not able to use 64bit libraries, which means that it is 100% 32bit application. Is this correct?
That's what the app is, correct.
yeah so your pretty much stuck with a 64bit computer.
