So I dumped my BIOS, and that went all fine, worked how it should and so on.

However, when i installed pcsx2, and it configured, on the config screen the BIOS box was blank. I decided to set the BIOS directory to C:/program files/pcsx2/bios... yet it still wasn't detecting it.

can anyone help?

Rule #1 broken
what OS are You running ?
If Vista/7, try right click on pcsx2>run as admin.
Thanks for reopening the thread. Now, if anyone has any help?
EDIT: running vista. i'll try that.
EDIT: nope, that didn't work. I've also tried reinstalling pcsx2, that didn't work either.
Is your dumped BIOS file with a .p2b extension? If so, right click on it and extract it with 7zip or winrar. Then, PCSX2 will identify the files
nope, it's .bin and all.
Which dumping method did you use? Is it a single bin file?
yup, just a single .bin file, 512kb.
EDIT: i've used this file before, too, on my old computer. that was running XP (SP2) and it worked fine.
PS2 bios images are 4mb so you either got a PS1 bios, downloaded it off the net or misdumped it.
whoops. must have misdumped it then. thanks, i'll try again.
EDIT: turns out i was using the wrong file. thanks!
