Why is it everytime I load up PCSX2 r1888, no matter what PS2 disc I put into the drive, it reads it as an Audio CD? And for 5-10 minutes to follow, I try resetting, executing and/or retrying to run CD/DVD and maybe after 10 minutes of trying, it finally loads the game.
What settings? Was it different in PCSX2 0.9.6?
Sometimes disc drives don't help reading the discs, you should try keeping your games as ISO.
I know I probably shouldn't be asking this but... what's a decent way to burn your ps2 discs into an ISO? I've tried Nero but it doesn't burn properly so everytime I try to run a game via ISO, all I get is a black screen and nothing happens. Tried Alcohol 120% but it errors out trying to burn an image file from the disc.
Try
ImgBurn. If the drive has problems reading the discs however there may not be much that can be done.
