When i run GT 4 cd i get this legal stuff screen and then i get black screen and nothing happens. Is there any way to fix it?

I have exactly the same problem. The game is probably broken in current revisions.
The screen goes black after "Sony Computer Entertaiment America" screen.
I usually find pressing "X" gets past it
however this may possibly be only on the PAL version, the NTSC version's videos play fine on current revisions, should do on the r1888 beta too
Black screen occurs in the most recent revision as well (r2930) with the PAL version.
I found out how it works:
just disable mVU speedhacks
The game is still very slow and brightness bug is still there.

What is this, the 5th time you report some game not working because you have hacks on? Seriously, first thing you do when something doesn't work:
disable hacks.
It only takes some seconds and saves everyone the trouble of searching for inexistent bugs.
