I'm not sure is this is the right place to post this but I am having troubles with the memory card for the pcsx2 emulator.
I'm using mcd001.ps2 and mcd002.ps2 both of which I have enabled. Everything runs properley until it says 'accessing memory card 1' when it then closes and an error message from windows pops up saying 'pcsx2 has stopped working'. If I have disabled memory card 1 and say yes to freeing 512kb or something of memory it closes again and the message also pops up. Please help. thank you in advance
What game? What settings? What error in the emulog? Any info?
Try running the emulator with CDVDnull as CDVD plugin, going in BIOS browser and formatting your memory cards

I just tried this, but i don't know where to format it.
you select browser, and then your memcard.
Finally, just follow the displayed instructions.

It doesn't have any instructions, it just says that it has no memory.

ok, then you have a blank memcard without any data on it.
means it's ready to be used in the game you want to play, exactly like you would do on your PS2
