Using your machine, you could try ticking native internal resolution and rev1888 and use the March 2010 plugins but wont do any good with any configs if your trying to run MGS3 since its very demanding.
Different games usually need different configs to run smoothly especially when you have a bare requirement machine.

DId not know there was an athon processor around SD vs Raw is monster PC sucker dont think your PC is Strong enough to run it
