Well, everything seems fine in the beginning until I got to the hangar for the tutorials, it just goes black and thats it, what could be wrong? thanks

Maybe it is cause by misconfigure pcsx2? or your game disk? try using ISO. Maybe it will help. I'm all ready on mission 16, playing it starting few days ago..

you're playing the japanese version of the game right?
actually I already made an ISo from my own original cd , and put an english patch unto it.. wonder if it was the source of the problem.. it runs very well on my ps2 tho..
maybe it is the problem. patches change different things in the game so it can be the source of the problem. ofc it can also be your misconfigure.
I have a patched copy and Im already in Mission 4. Still no problems whatsoever. I got over that tutorial with no hitch. Im using svn 2821 though.
I'm playing the english patched version. I have the japan version, it play well on pcsx2. I'm also try to patch the game with the english patch. the game wont even boot.
then i ask my frends help to pacth it. thankfully it works.
try re-patching the game. follow the guideline carefully.
