Hello, everyone. Let me start out by saying that I suck at forums, so if in the highly likely even that this is in the wrong spot, or if I'm not even allowed to ask for assistance, I apologize.

So I got pcsx2 running today. Must say I am thrilled to get it working correctly. I checked around to see what specs your computer should have to run this program well, and mine are around there if I'm not mistaken. However, trying to play god of war today, I'm getting a whopping 7 frames per second. Now if this is due to my computer specs or my "awesome" (insert sarcasm face) pcsx2 configuration settings, I don't know. I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight on the matter. Thank you. Here are my specs:

Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3 (2600.xpsp_sp3_qfe.100216-1510)
Language: English (Regional Setting: Luxembourgish)
System Manufacturer: EMACHINES
System Model: W3650
BIOS: Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG
Processor: Intel® Pentium® 4 CPU 3.06GHz (2 CPUs)
Memory: 2048MB RAM
Page File: 514MB used, 3425MB available
Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 4670 1g memory
DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
The recommended specs for PCSX2 are a Core 2 Duo 3.2GHz and a 8800gt or better. Your graphics card is a bit slower than the recommended but should be fine, the Pentium 4 on the other hand is at least half the speed.

You have a very slow CPU and this a demanding game so there's not much you can do. Try the latest beta and enable some speedhacks on it (VU cycle stealing set to moderate should give something of a big boost) but don't expect any miracles.

Enable native resolution in GSdx configuration. At Advanced config, set Clamp Mode to None and Round Mode to Chop/Zero and enable Flush to Zero and Denormals as Zero. Those should help.

As Shadow Lady said, don't expect any miracles.
P4 just wont cut it with PCSX2 even with two cpus (architecture is just too bad). More so with GOW.
If you want to have big boost in performance, have a very great cooler and overclock your CPU to 4.0GHz. Even that won't be too useful. But that might be the only way and solution for you, bro. Tongue
Awh that's sad news. What about FFX? God of War was really just a test.

You should give FFX a try. You will definitely get better speeds than GoW. Smile
I just tried FFX. And It's an awesome 20fps. I'm ready to give up if my computer just plain doesn't meet the requirements that well.
Well, as far as I know the playable game using that specs are Ar tonelico series and Mana Khemia.
