The vertical lines should be gone with "Alpha hack" in GSdx as far as I remember.
so far myself it's only happened in the forest, and using software mode there is the only fix I know of (even with the gsdx modification) in the forest area you will have to sacrifice speed for visibility (also note I don't get 30fps in sw mode, I get more like 20 on a 2.2)
