OK, here we go:

AMD Phenom II X4 940
4 GB Crucial Ballistix DDR2-800
XFX Radeon HD 4850 (1 GB)
Biostar TA790 GX (SB750 chipset)

The timing is off between the audio, and video, but definitely playable up until the last Class B licensing test. There is no definable video image, instead it looks like blocks of 8 bit graphics.

I thought maybe it is something in the game itself, as it is imaged to my HDD, however running it off the DVD-ROM has the same effect.

Similar situation with TR Anniversary, but the graphics look normal intermittently.

Any suggestions? All my games are NTSC, and I am using version 0.9.7.
Not a bug report, moved.

Post your PCSX2 settings and plugin settings so we can try to help better.
Couldn't you just take a look on that http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Bug-Repor...ismo-3-PAL
About half of this game is not playable in hardware mode.

Not a PAL title...
Made an attempt using software mode, and I have my sound settings "cranked", as I have an Audigy sound card. Helps a bit here and there with speed on many games.

While running in software mode, FPS is limited to 20, or less at times.

Though I am running an AMD chipset, I'd hate to think the disadvantage is in my instruction set, but maybe...

Tried using the experimental anti-alias, to no avail.

Next step, is to switch displays. The real bug just may be my component input driven, CRT TV.
Nothing you will do can make this game run better. It is not playable at the moment.
