No I'm a retard.

Of course I have SP2 ;p
and also are you sure you got all windows updates installed? (specially the optional ones cause there is the one to enable dx11)
Right, thought there was something else still going on with vista.
Happy Win7 camper here, ever since the public beta Tongue2

You need to update your vista, specifically the platform update for DirectX 11 (which GSdx uses now) to appear.

Did you install the latest DirectX Redist? It's different from the End-User Runtime. Also, I would try using the latest Nvidia drivers modified to work for laptops @ www.laptopvideo2go.com. So you can have the latest Nvidia drivers. I had issues with my GTX 480 where it wouldn't show DX11, just did a driver sweep and reinstalled the latest drivers and it fixed the issue.

I try applying that update and a message pops up saying "This Update Does Not Apply To Your System" - whatever that means O.o

Windows Vista SP2

I'd appreciate any help with this. I really am feeling like a retard with it 'cause it's probably something simple -_-
Sorry if my question seemed harsh, it was not my intention, it's not uncommon to keep the former SP updated and so believe it is the last or actually want not that last.
XP had 3 and most people was reluctant to upgrade, with some reason because it was common to break production environment doing it.

Vista was indeed a 'transition' OS, and not that good one. The seven is far better than It, between XP and Vista I would be using the former yet...
