I searched the forum but couldn't find this problem in particular, the game works on 0.9.6 but on 0.9.7 I get the problem that it starts on startup but about 3 seconds into the startup menu FMV it just completely freezes with no sound either.

I'm not exactly sure what to do any help would be greatly appreciated

Disable any speed hacks and dismount the image from any virtual cd/dvd program like PowerISO or Daemon Tools. Then simply run it with the internal ISO reader directly.
