Hey Guys I'm working on GOW2, no matter how I tried the fps just can't be stablized around 60. Some times it falls to 45 or a bit lower
Can anyone give me some advice to speed it up??
I've tried all the settings i could find, such as speed hacks, VU...etc

My Hardware:I chose them myself 2 month ago
Intel I5-750 QUAD-CORE 2.66Ghz (I overlocked it at 3Ghz)
NV GTS250 1G (overlocked at 768Mhz)
Kingston DDR3-1333 2G*2

Regretful that I didn't take GTX460 instead...

By the way, it's PCSX2 0.9.7 r3113

It's your processor and not your graphics card. If you could OC it a bit more to around 3,4 Ghz you should get all the speed you need

Ok, I'll try it out
but my OS is WinXP, Turbo boost is not supported...what a pity
I can only OC manually
and I don't have a nice CPU fan(only got the basic one), it's going to be a little scaring when OCing

Oh yeah don't try that with the stock fan.. especially with a quad core CPU, your temps will go through the roof. Get an after market cooler and it should OC great, these processors are known to be good overclockers
