I'm playing Kingdom Hearts 2 right now and my character moves slow (doesn't automatically run) when I use diagonal movements (e.g. up+right, right+down, down+left, and top+left)

Try changing the sensitivity for the analog axis in LilyPad.

I can see the option to adjust the sensitivity, but i can't adjust it.

Select the L-Stick PS2 controls for up/down/left/right then you should be able to chnage the sensitivity for each of them.
