We didn't know anything about your configs... you didn't post your system specs nor your pcsx2 configuration or settings.
If you activated speedhacks or game fixes disable them all, they can cause such issues.

AMD Athlon II x6 2.8 GHZ
12 GB of DDR3 Memory
ATI Radeon 4290
and besides the EE cyclerate & VU cycle stealing at 2 i'm at default (unless changing the screen size affects anything)

Try to disable speedhacks just to see if they causing problem.
then if the problem didn't happen, try to activate speedhacks one by one to see which one is causing this.

I set everything to default and even now I still can't have 6 man matches

What version of PCSX2 are you running ? have you tried the latest beta?

mmm... try to set EE/FPU or VU0/VU1 Advanced options to Nearest <= Round Mode & None <= Clamping mode.
or you can Try SuperVu recompiler & see if it fix your problem
