Hi everyone,
I have just recently acquired and set up PCSX 0.9.8 and it is running...decently, but not as fast as I would like. I have tried messing around with he settings, but my framerate is constantly between 80-92%. I have only tested with Kingdom Hearts 2 so far, and I have gotten audio and gameplay (mainly battles) lag.

These are my computer specs:

AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4400+

2.3 GHz Performance Rated at: 4.6 GHz

Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Edition (build 7600), 32-bit

GeForce 8600 GT 3D, Hardware T&L, Pixel Shader Version 4.0, Vertex Shader Version 4.0

DirectX Version 11

Realtek High Definition Audio

194.8 GB Free Disk Space

Any and all help would be much, much appreciated. Also, try and make help as simple as possible, I am by no means a techy, just someone that would love to play PS2 games on their computer. Thanks!
use native gsdx internal res and some speedhacks.
Unfortunately, 2.4 Ghz is a bit low for pcsx2

Is there any way to up the Ghz without having to get an all new processor?
you can try to overclock.
but Athlon 64 X2 series aren't really overclockable.
I guess you will have to keep playing it on your PS2 until you can get a better CPU
